SlabSync is a product of Synergetic Strategies Pty Ltd (ABN available on request), an Australian company that operates a variety of online brands and applications, and provides consulting services in digital marketing and custom software development. In this Privacy Policy, "we", "us" or "our" refers to Synergetic Strategies Pty Ltd.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using SlabSync, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Types of Personal Information We Collect (APP 1, 3)

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities, including:

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you register.
• Business information: company name, ABN, phone, address, logo, and licence number entered in Company Settings.
• Client and project data: client names, addresses, and contact details you add to the platform.
• Quote content: job details, line items, photos, drawings, and GPS location data you attach to quotes.
• Payment information: banking or payment details you enter for display on quotes. Payment processing is handled by our payment provider (Stripe) and is governed by their privacy policy.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the app.
• Sensitive information: we do not knowingly collect sensitive information within the meaning of the Privacy Act. If you provide any, we will handle it in accordance with the APPs.

3. How We Collect Information (APP 3)

We collect personal information directly from you when you create an account, use our features, or contact us. We may also collect information automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you interact with SlabSync (see section 8 below).

4. How We Use Your Information (APP 6)

We only use personal information for the primary purpose for which it was collected, or a related secondary purpose you would reasonably expect, including to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve SlabSync and our other products and services.
• Generate and deliver quotes, invoices, and related documents on your behalf.
• Process subscription payments and manage your plan.
• Send transactional emails such as quote delivery and account notifications.
• Respond to your support requests and enquiries.
• Monitor and analyse usage to improve user experience.
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

If we wish to use your information for a purpose that is not related to the primary purpose, we will seek your consent first, unless permitted or required by law.

5. Disclosure of Information (APP 6)

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to:

• Service providers who assist us in operating our platform (e.g. cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing), under strict confidentiality obligations.
• Third-party integrations you explicitly connect, with data shared only as needed to fulfil the integration.
• Legal authorities where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, with notice where appropriate.

Where your information is disclosed to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it in accordance with the APPs, in line with APP 8.

6. Data Storage & Security (APP 11)

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information against misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure, using industry-standard technical and organisational measures. We will destroy or de-identify personal information once it is no longer needed, unless required to be retained by law.

7. Data Retention (APP 11.2)

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services, and for any period required by law (including tax and accounting obligations under Australian law). You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the Company Settings page or by contacting us.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyse usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect the functionality of the app.

9. Third-Party Services & Overseas Disclosure (APP 8)

SlabSync integrates with third-party services such as payment processing (Stripe) and cloud infrastructure providers. When you connect these services, their own privacy policies apply to the data they handle. Some of these providers may store or process data overseas. Synergetic Strategies Pty Ltd is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party providers, but we take reasonable steps to ensure they are bound by equivalent confidentiality obligations.

10. Your Rights & Access (APP 1, 12, 13)

Under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you (APP 12).
• Correct inaccurate, out-of-date, or incomplete information (APP 13).
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal obligations.
• Withdraw consent for secondary uses of your information.
• Complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles (see section 13).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in section 14. We will respond to your request within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days, and at no cost to you unless the request is unreasonable or excessive.

11. Children's Privacy

SlabSync is intended for use by businesses and individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it in accordance with the APPs.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SlabSync after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may complain to us using the contact details below. We will investigate and respond to your complaint within a reasonable period.
